| 19994 | 2001-10-04 04:40:00 | How do I get explorer to open up with the explorer pane on the left every time? I know there is an option somewhere, but have forgotten where, Windows ME. Cheers GP |

If you want it to always open with a specific drive selected (such as C:\) add the drive after the comma, such as C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /e, c: I hope this works for you as it did me. Mike |

| 19996 | 2001-10-04 06:01:00 | Thanx Mike. It does work. Is it possible to get it to do this when I double click on a folder on the desktop such as My Computer? ie not a shortcut per say. | Guest (0) | ||

| 19998 | 2001-10-04 06:10:00 | Cheers Tristan, but knew that. I mustn't have explained myself very well - sorry. I want the window to open up with the explorer tree there every time by default, instead of a) opening exporer and then navigating to where I want to go, or b) opening the window and then selecting 'folders'. Maybe I am wrong and this isn't possible - should be if it isn't. |
