| 20006 | 2001-10-04 05:21:00 | I have come into this problem late and 2nd hand. I have a web server running NT4 server with SP6, and IIS4.0. The people who develop the website are trying to install apps that use Microsoft File System Objects (FSOs). However the computer used to run Norton Antivirus 5 and it appears the two are completely incompatible. Microsoft's support site basically says that this is a known problem and you should uninstall Antivirus 5. Unfortunately we did this and the problem remains - FSOs just will not run. Apparently NAV2001 Personal eEition has a front-end config setting which rectifies the problem but that won't install on NT4 server, and the $1000-plus Corporate Edition does not have the same front-end setting. Has somebody struck this before, and is there a registry entry or some such that I should be looking at to make my server pretend that NAV5 was never there? Otherwise I'm loooking at rebuilding the server and the website... Many thanks. |
