Whenever I view a video file (mpg, avi etc) windows media player speeds up (I'm using version 7). It only seems to happen when I have other programs open. The video just leaps forwards in bursts then goes back to normal, then speeds up again - mega frustrating as you can imagine - can anyone give me any suggestions as to what is going on, and what to do about it. |

This is most likely a result of too few system resources - fixable by either quitting some programs (therefore freeing up memory) or upgrading the amount ram/ speed of processor. |

Or, it could be the fact of having sound/video enhancers on. Click on the 'Equilizer and Settings' button (next to the Playlist button), and turn off the WOW Effects and Equilizer, and Reset the Video Settings. |
