20108 2001-10-05 02:08:00 just following my perivous posts regarding indentifying motherboard brand and model, i've just made the questions easier, does anyone know what brand and model motherboard they used for the pcdirect (in auckland)discovery 540?

If you haven't seen my perivous post it went like this:

The bios id at the very bottom of the start up screen goes:
12/28/95 -SiS-5511-5513-2A5IDM4EC-00

then there's some other things on the top which says:

WG 71PS2 011696

So can anyone indetify the manufature and model number of my motherboard. (Even though i've been to hundreds of useless websites already)

Thanks

20109 2001-10-05 02:49:00 Have PCDIRECT Discovery 540, manual supplied is S154P A10 User's Manual for Pheonix BIOS, 40-012-819200, V2.0 dated July 1995,
Chipset SiS 5501, SiS 5502. Looks like earlier version than yours. My Lifeguard no is 34019. If you like to contact me on frank.startup@xtra.co.nz with snailmail address can copy my manual for you.
Currently Gateway on 0800 570 001 are supposed to be providing support for PC DIRECT although they are no longer in NZ. Frank

20110 2001-10-05 03:37:00 When you downloaded and ran CT Bios what did it say?
There are dozens of microstar motherboards and I just need a few more numbers to pick out your one and the manual.

Can you see anything printed on the mother board?
Probably just a 4 or 5 numeral number. Look long and hard!!!

20111 2001-10-05 04:53:00 Yup, it just said that the brand was microstar and shome other useless thing. everything that could be a use, i've told you, just the bios id etc. No i cannot see anything on the motherboard though. Guest (0)
20112 2001-10-05 05:02:00 My brand is a micro-star is yours? No, thanks, i don't think i will need you're manual (not because i don't want to give away my e-mail or anything)But lets confirm that our systems are the same (what it came in (before you changed anything))

Pentium 75
8 MB Edo ram
850 hd

etc etc etc. etc. etc.

Is it? If is, then i'll perhaps try having a look at you're manual. And on you're computer during startup, does it contain the same numbers on the bottom? If it does then i'll definately have to get you to please e-mail you're manual to me

Thanks alot Frank!!!
