When I play a CD in my cd-rom, the computer locks up. I think it is software related as I have swapped cd-roms and cables and it still does it.
I can play music cd with no problems. Some kids have played on my computer during the holidays and have possible done something. Please help!! |

This may be related to the software - for example when you put the CD in, the program may be trying to connect to the CDDB database (lyrics, titles), and this may be what is causing your computer to crash. Open the CD Player application with no CD in the drive and look for an option related to CDDB, try taking the tick out, and then inserting a CD. |
