| 20433 | 2001-10-07 09:46:00 | I recently bought a CD RW Drive and now I would like to backup my system, Win98, which has been unusually stable for several months now. Can someone please tell me what I should backup. I Zipped the windows folder 985 MB and got it on one CD with over 50 MB to spare. What else? | Guest (0) | ||

There are two types of backup you can do, a complete image of your system with a program like msbackup. Or to backup only your documents, e-mail, addressbook, MP3s etc. And not any programs etc, because they can be reinstalled later (I also keep a copy of any installers for programs i've downloaded). The advantage of not backing up programs is you can do a clean install. Although it takes longer to restore. |
