| 20377 | 2001-10-06 22:49:00 | Following on from Steve's query about Proview monitors, there are several programs for testing monitors. One of the best is monitors.exe and can be downloaded from: venus.spaceports.com as monitors.zip (There are other DOS utility test goodies on this site) This is an early version 1.0 but works well. It is a DOS utility. (Windows based programs are a waste of time as its much better to test a monitor from a boot floppy, un-encumbered by Windows) Included in this program are tests for: color bars; convergence; linearity; phase; focus; purity, white, red, green, blue; high voltage stability; (this is the test bm mentioned in his reply to Steve). The latest version 3.0 can be obtained (it costs) from Dynamic Learning Systems at: http://www.dlspubs.com/ |
