20369 2001-10-06 20:54:00 I'm setting up a new computer and re-entering logins and passwords.

One password where Windows 98 asked if I wanted it remembered was incorrect.

How do I get Windows to remember the correct password?

Thanks.

20370 2001-10-06 21:23:00 Depends on which password.

If you are refering to the DUN password then typing a new password and pressing connect (after ticking the 'rembember password' box) should replace it with the correct password.

If you mean IE's password function then go to tools, internet options, content tab, click the auto complete button, and then clear passwords button. You will have to re-enter all passwords again.

20372 2001-10-07 01:08:00 Thanks Mike,

I don't use IE's autocomplete function so I am not that familiar with the details.

20373 2001-10-07 19:35:00 Many thanks for the responses.

It was a hotmail account and whenyou reconnect and enter the new password it prompts you it's different from the old one and do you want to save it.

Thanks for your help.
