20334 2001-10-06 11:54:00 My Lyra mp3 player came with a flashcard reader which has an adapter that connects to the printer port and Keyboard socket. I did not intend to use this as I already have a USB Flashcard reader. but to my surprise the files transferred through the USB type could not be read by the MP3 player without a special file. So I used the RCA reader supplied and everything workd nicely (but slowly).

I acquired a PIII 1GHZ Gateway computer and tried to connect the RCA reader to the computer as before. But either the mouse or keyboard or both would fail to work on start up or after a period of non use.

I have unplugged the reader and everything is now tickety boo.

Can I use the USB reader with RCA Lyra player, failing that any tips on how to make the RCA reader work?

I have a feeling this is not a unique situation.
