| 20331 | 2001-10-06 10:57:00 | I have been using MSWord 2000 with Wind.'98 SE for 12 months now, and anytime I open a new blank document the default tab spacing is at 1.27cm. I then alter this to 1.0cm as this is my preference. Is there any way to alter this default setting easily and permanently or do I have to uninstall the programme, then reinstall it. I trust someone out there can give me all the answers. |

| 20332 | 2001-10-06 13:01:00 | In work97 you just hit the defaults button on the page setup dialog. I assume its the same for word 2000 as they are almost identical. |

| 20333 | 2001-10-07 00:24:00 | What you do is to open a new document and make the changes you need in page setup or fonts etc after changeing each individual setting is click on the default button this will change the normal.dot file. Note older docs will display as they were saved |
