20460 2001-10-07 18:36:00 I use Internet Explorer version 4.0 at work with Adobe Acrobat. When I access a PDF file via the web browser and try to view it, Acrobat opens but I cannot view the contents of the file. To work around this I have to save the file to a folder, open Adobe Acrobat and view the PDF file that way. All of my colleages on the network use the same version of IE and Acrobat and can view files via the web browser. Can you please help? Guest (0)
20461 2001-10-07 18:58:00 Is Acrobat set as the default program for opening .pdf files? Guest (0)
20462 2001-10-07 19:18:00 Hi there.

Is this what you are getting?

'When you try to view a Portable Document Format (.pdf) file in Internet Explorer, you may see a blank window or frame instead of the .pdf file. This may occur even though you have installed the Adobe Acrobat Reader program, and you are normally able to view .pdf files in that program.'

Try this site:

support.microsoft.com

The main solution is to Upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0. Internet Explorer 5.5 has corrected the issue of displaying a blank page when retrieving a PDF file using the POST method.
