| 20591 | 2001-10-08 21:48:00 | i am runnng windowsme and have tried several times to install ie6 from the pc world cd. although successful on a friends computer my install will not go past 83%. i have also downloaded it from the microsoft web site but this install will not go past 87%. i am not running any programs at the sme time, what is going on? | Guest (0) | ||

| 20593 | 2001-10-08 23:17:00 | You have to go on line to Microsoft to proceed any further with the installation. I suspect they retrieve information at that stage, you certainly have to accept the conditions. After you have made a successful instalation there are Megabytes of recommended on-line updates, then follows, maybe, a system malfunction, as I have found each time I tried it. It played up on other P Cs too. I was not so silly as to retry on the same machine. |
