1280234 2012-06-07 05:31:00 Hi everyone, I am trying to format my hard drive as I have purchased new components and want a fresh new start.
Is there a way to create a windows installation with all the current updates included? I don't want to reinstall windows and then have to download a lot of updates.
Or is it possible to back up the updates?
I have already backed up my whole c: drive using Paragon.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

1280235 2012-06-07 05:40:00 While it is possible, it is a whole heap of mucking around and there is a lot more potential for stuff to go wrong. Just do the updates normally. You should have a Sp1 Win7 disk by now, if not try and borrow one. wratterus (105)

1280240 2012-06-08 00:57:00 Another way is to create an update .iso or USB stick with WSUSOffiline (http://www.wsusoffline.net/) that has all the Win7 updates. Then either install a vanilla Win7 or SP1 Win7 (whatever you have), run the WSUSOffline again to install the updates.

It takes a bit of time, but not nearly as much as rolling your own DVD with all the updates included.
