How is a 3 second view of a ad going to radically change the way mums feed there bubs. Storm in a tea cup. If Mum wants to breast feed, they will, then you get ethnic groups such as Maori being one group that have a very low breast feeding rate anyway. We came into conflict with the hospital when our first was born over breast vs bottle though in the hospitals defense, I believe they are banned by law from promoting bottle feeding.....for 3 days all our daughter got was a dribble of milk, no sleep, constant crying, she was told time and time again, the milk will come eventually, in the end, she sent me out to get a bottle and some powder, bubs guzzled the whole lot in record time and went to sleep. Hospital matron was thrilled to bits till she found that a bottle had been used and then the crap hit the fan big time. Then we got into further trouble when I helped my wife have a shower, how perverted, how disgusting, I was see'ing my wife with nothing on, big no no.	PinoyKiw (9675)

Some people can't breastfeed, some are on medication that prohibits it - bottle feeding is a fine alternative. This kind of sh*t is unbelievable. With NZ's child abuse rate as it is, they should be more interested in a popular and influential figure clearly caring and tending to his child than slamming him for daring to go outside 'the message'. To be honest, the sort of person that decides to bottle feed because they saw a sportsman doing it is the sort of person that probably shouldn't be having kids. Never liked La Leche, they bang on about how knowledgeable they are but can't even pronounce their own fking name properly. Imbeciles.	Contented (15925)

1257899	2012-02-08 05:56:00	Well, the All Black can hardly put the kid to his own tit and expect it to feed. What else can a man to to feed an infant? This whole thing is soooo over-the-top. Yet if they showed him passing the kid to his wifes breast there'd be complaints of that as well. Nah, wayyy too stupid to argue, from start to finish. Doesn't matter in the least how a baby is fed, the main fact is that it IS being fed, and not starved, abused, tortured, bashed etc! Why not have the husband, father, partner, boyfriend etc undertake this most basic occupation and give the mum a break? LL	lakewoodlady (103)
