It's normal, get over yourself, most forums these days do something like that to prevent spam. Still, if you want to leave, that's fine, you're entitled to. If you're unwilling to contribute nicely, unwilling to read, and clearly not patient enough to wait half an hour for your first post to be moderated, I can't help feel these forums would be better without you. Enjoy the TradeMe forums, I'm sure with your attitude that you're going to fit in perfectly there. |

BTW, this forum has a plugin that auto-moderates posts by new members, and those with less than 10 posts. It checks posts for links or the use of @ (which can indicate an email address was posted). Until the post/thread is manually checked by a Moderator, it remains 'hidden' and the original poster receives the auto-moderation comment. While the plugin stops 99% of spam, it unfortunately also stops genuine posts by new members. This is a small inconvenience to bear with compared to the benefits of this plugin. |
