1279906 2012-06-06 01:23:00 Hi Team

Billy Jnr was on Morning Report today and he wants to make a copy of the clip from TVNZ's website.

Is this possible, and if so, how?

I assume that there are copyright issues associated so it may not be feasible and I don't want to waste time on this if it is not a runner. I already recorded it to VCR but I think he wants it on Facebook!

Cheers

1279907 2012-06-06 01:37:00 Ant video download, a firefox addon may download it. After you go to the site and start playing it. Click its icon top right I think it is in FF Speedy Gonzales (78)

Tried all the usual downloaders / plugins, no dice.

1279910 2012-06-06 02:05:00 It used to be possible with firefox and downloadhelper, haven't tried for a while though, they've probably tightened things up since then, worth a try though. wratterus (105)

Just tried downloaderhelper on TV on Demand several programs. Doesn't want to play nice, thats unless you want to record just the ads, it allows those to be captured lol.

There's plenty of software about that can capture the video, but getting to capture the audio at the same time - thats another story. But there are ways to do it if you want to fiddle about doing a video capture, audio capture and merging the two.

1279912 2012-06-06 05:42:00 It doesn't even turn up in the temp files on C either. I used to save web videos by watching them play through on screen, then dropping into ZTREE, going to the temp files in the root of C, copying or moving it to another drive (it was always the largest file there and stamped for the current date and time) then renaming it. None of those tricks worked off the TVNZ site today, but on request they emailed him the video!

1279913 2012-06-06 05:44:00 I use LiteCam frequently for videos that are awkward to download or have DRM problems, like the ephemeral BBC Iplayer videos.
It is excellent, it seems to know what you want to do without hiccupping, video quality is good. There have never been any problems with audio sync. as can happen with some programs. The only problem is it is not free, but for me has been well worth the money.

It produces rather large .avi files but these can be reduced down to mp4 easily enough if space is a problem.

1279914 2012-06-07 00:56:00 You could give StreamTransport (http://www.streamtransport.com/) a try. It works on a number of sites that use rtmp streams. autechre (266)
1279915 2012-06-07 02:16:00 Audials would do it - not free though . PeeCeeWorldly (15890)
