1256943 2012-02-01 23:56:00 I'd bet you'll find this guy has a history of giving people the bash. ??
It just that this time it got reported because it was a cycling tourist.
In NZ , people get bashed/threatened/intimidated by thugs all the time .

'normal' people dont act like that. The pushbike was irrelevant

1256945 2012-02-02 02:21:00 Cycling is only dangerous because they let animals behind the wheel of vehicles. They should remove the body work from cars and allow spikes on the front 2m long, then we will see how well car drivers can behave when their lives depend on it too gary67 (56)
1256946 2012-02-02 02:56:00 Cycling is indeed dangerous. Mainly thanks to the idiot drivers on the roads in NZ. Alot of cyclists also seem to have a death wish.

It looks as though this guy is going to get away with his careless actions causing death of a cyclist: www.stuff.co.nz I see people opening car doors without looking behind them all the time!

It looks as though this guy is going to finally have this case thrown out as its a design flaw in the road at fault: www.stuff.co.nz I see people opening car doors without looking behind them all the time!

There fixed that for you.

Not signalling when turning at intersections. I see this on my 7km drive to work each morning. plod (107)

Not really there are animals and there are good drivers, the same as there are good cyclists and bad ones, unfortunately none of the bad of either get the punishment they should get

Agree, they make my blood boil when they pedal thru red lights.

And what about cars parking or driving in cycling lanes, parking half on the pavement, carving up cyclists? yes there is good and bad in both camps and the bad should be shot drivers and cyclists. Nelson drivers can't even merge, they drive along the merge lane get to the end and instead of merging they stop
