21416 2001-10-14 11:23:00 Hi, recently reinstalled windows (thanks to all those preivous posts that helped me with this) Now I am trying to re-customise things.

1) How do I remove the 'logoff...' option on the startmenu?

2) The text under my icons is white with a black background, I previously had them black with no background. How do I fix this?

3) Since reinstallation, every time I double click inside explorer, or when explorer executes a command, I get an audible 'click'. Can't find it in my sounds settings anywhere.

Cheers
Thats all - for now.

21417 2001-10-14 12:43:00 1) TweakUI will let you do it.

2) There is a tweak around, X-Setup may do it for you.

3) Should be under internet explorer in the sound control panel.

1) Have TweakUI and X-Setup - both set up correctly, even put a NoLogoff string in the registry, but no solution.

2) Found a way to do it with desktop architect.

3) Sorted.

So, any ideas for removing the logoff setting?

21419 2001-10-14 20:49:00 You don't say which version of Windows you have.

To hide logoff on the start menu in Win ME, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu. On the Advanced tab, click to select the Display Logoff check box in the Start Menu Settings box.
