21699 2001-10-17 01:16:00 I have a Panasonic KX-P6500 laser printer attached to a Pentium II-300, 128Mb Ram. Whenever I go to print something, the printer starts up and does the job, printing perfectly, but as it does, the computer reboots itself.
I had this problem initially when I installed this printer, and then it came right, but I'm not sure why/how. Since then I have had to reinstall Windows (surprise, surprise) and now I am back to the same old problem of reboot.
I have the printer port set to 'ECP+EPP' in the BIOS.

21700 2001-10-17 01:43:00 do you know what version od the drivers you are using ??? Guest (0)
21701 2001-10-17 03:04:00 Do your lights dim as the printer starts up? Sounds to me like a power dip. Some laser printers pull a lot of current while starting up. (can you run an extension cord to your computer from another power point, for a test?) Guest (0)
