| 21589 | 2001-10-16 06:40:00 | Is anyone able to tell me how to insert the symbol, u with a bar above it,as in the Maori word Purehuroa (this is on Massey University stationery? I am able to do this in Office 2000, but wish to print my document somewhere that uses Office 97, and the symbol doesn't appear to be available under 'Symbol' in Word. | Guest (0) | ||

| 21595 | 2001-10-18 05:42:00 | There is a specific set of Maori fonts available. The fonts give you also the a with the bar above. By the way, the bar is called a 'macron'. It signifies a long pronunication and is often spelled as a double 'a' where the macron is not available. I suggest you try university Maori departments, or government departments with a focus no Maori affairs. Aroha |
