21655 2001-10-16 22:19:00 I have a dynalink v.90. I have windows xp installed and am now unable to dial out. I have tested the line and that is ok. Do I need new drivers and how do I get them as there is nothing on the dynalink site. Guest (0)
21656 2001-10-17 03:54:00 What is the actual model of Dynalink modem???

I have xp running with the default xp drivers on an external dynalink without issue and have also used it with an internal pci with a conexant chip set without issue using xp drivers.

You could try win 2k drivers from the dynalink website.

XP does appear to detect most win modems and load them as a 'generic 56k modem' but they all appear to work when loaded as that.

Is it detecting it under plug and play??

21657 2001-10-17 04:18:00 Try deleting the modem, and then restarting. If you upgraded to WindowsXP, it may still be using the older drivers too. Guest (0)

The model is V1456vqe external Serial.
This is showing in Control Panel as ASKEY 56K data fax voice modem plug n play.
Should I try changing this to generic??
