21845 2001-10-18 09:18:00 Hi there, first - how big is your HDD? and how big are the files you really need to keep/back up? Email me if you want and ill take you thorugh it step by step - Joshsti@xtra.co.nz Guest (0)
21846 2001-10-18 09:26:00 Ok, you need a boot disk, but I recommend you take up the offer of that kind person above and mail them (to register interest), as reinstalling is a long (and sometimes complicated) process. Guest (0)

If your win95 is on cd, the win95 startup disk does not have cdrom support, this can be overcome by downloading a 95 bootup disk with cdrom support. If you have win95 on floppies you don't need to worry about this.

21848 2001-10-21 03:22:00 If W95 is still running, in My Computer/Add-Remove programs/ there is a page which should create a bootable floppy with cdrom support. Then boot from it, 'fdisk' ... follow instructions, 'format c: /u'
cd <cdrom letter> (eg 'cd d:',
'setup' ... and follow the yellow brick road.
