| 21835 | 2001-10-18 06:48:00 | Is there any way to completely remove this from my system and then reinstall? I am using Win98 and was on wmp v6.0. Whenever I tried to install v7.1, something went wrong and I can neither remove it or, whenever trying to reinstall, it seems to copy all the files OK but then comes up with setup has failed, please check your connection, network etc. Seems nothing I can do to get it to work again. Thanks for any help or suggestions! |

In the Windows Media Components Setup dialog box, make sure the Remove Windows Media Components option is selected, and then click Next. In the Windows Media Components Setup dialog box, scroll down the list, select the Windows Media Player check box, and then click Next. |
