22159 2001-10-21 03:08:00 Is it possible to setup a printer to print in black draft mode by default and call it, ie(Black) and also setup the same printer to print in colour, call it (Colour) and pick the colour printer from the printer selection panel. Any help would be great Guest (0)
22160 2001-10-21 03:27:00 Why not. My Computer/Control Panel/printers/ then 'add'.
It will probably call it Whatever-2. Then set up the printer as usual. When installed, rename the two printers, and set up each separately.

22161 2001-10-21 03:57:00 Yes, what Graham says should work, but I'll take it a bit further. To set one up to ONLY print black or whatever edit the printer properties from within the Printers folder from Control panel and click OK, and it should save those settings as default for that printer, and then do it to the next printer (the copy of the first one) and set that for colour or whatever and that should save too. Changing the settings from within a program usually won't save the settings. Guest (0)

One of the better ones that I have come across.
