I have replaced my 4x CD drive with a new Acer CD-RW, installed Easy CD Creator ok and the whole system works fine - except when I insert a CD-ROM into the drive, it will not 'auto run'. I have enabled 'auto run' in device manager but still will not run. The only way to read the CD is to go through 'My Computer' or WIndows Explorer and click the .exe file to open the CD, then it takes some time to open. Has a driver or dll file been damaged, as on my original CD drive 'auto run' worked fine. I am using Windows 98. |
