| 22227 | 2001-10-22 00:12:00 | I have installed RC1 and when trying to install Diablo 2's expansion pack it crashed/froze! To cut a long story short I get a BSOD with an error saying 'unmountable_boot_volume' and some addresses after restarting. Is my HDD fried? *touch wood it's not* Spex: * Celeron 433 * 196MB RAM * 8GB HDD * no FDD * MB GA-6WMMC7 (can handle nt4 sp5 don't know about XP) * no other graphics other than that on mb |

| 22228 | 2001-10-22 02:34:00 | As far as i know, you need to have CPU at least 500MHZ fast with 10GB or larger disk(the system folders plus swap file for Win XP alone chew up between 1.5 to 2GB), a monitor capable of 1024x768 resolution with at least 8MB of video RAM that can support at least 16bits of colour depth. | Guest (0) | ||
| 22229 | 2001-10-22 09:37:00 | That computer is *just* capable of running XP, I would not judge XP's compatibility by beta 1! heck,the final build is 2600. Besides, If you were a /real/ beta tester (like everyone else, right? :-) You would have a more recent version/build. If I was you, I'd try getting a newer version of XP, through legitimate means, of course. |
