| 1357042 | 2001-10-21 19:40:00 | i was a good lad and made a ghost image of my entire hard drive, so that when the big crash came i was prepared - or so i thought. when i now open a word doc from my restored harddrive all i get is garbage ( all looks like this - P??q?S ????M??? ???2? v?4??l?). any ideas on how to get my wifes precious work back??? thanks in advance! cheers;) |

| 1357043 | 2001-10-21 20:50:00 | Hello Terry, I don't use ghost personally, however I have installed it on a few PC's, I think from memory that if your read the help file you will see that Ghost has a utility supplied with it to correct the problem you have. Regards Alan |

| 1357044 | 2001-10-22 23:01:00 | Terry Although a regular 'ghoster' I have not yet experienced your problem so I would be interested in hearing how you get on plus a pointer to the readme file that gives the answer. It is probably only a matter of time before it hits me. I have Ghost Personal (V5.1 I think, which was the first NZ release) plus a new copy of Ghost 2001. Which version is causing your problem?
