my computer hangs a the win 98 shut down screen. but if i ull out the network cable it shutdown. Please help. |

Loads of possible problems, one is that there could be a slight hardware incompatability fault between your NIC and Win 98 or a myrid of other problems here is the address for you to look at to diagnose your specific problem support.microsoft.com |

Good one, Wayne, I will try that myself. My wife's machine shut's down clean about one time in six.

This is a known problem and has been round since the release of Win98. Try getting the latest drivers for your video card. Also search on MSs site for a patch to (hopefully) correct it. |
