22407 2001-10-23 20:08:00 Hi Team, Machine specs 633mhz,Win ME,3 HDD's,primary master= 15gb partitioned as c: 3.5gb & Remainder = d:,primary slave E: =10gb & secondary master 3.2gb =F:.
I ran scandisk & defrag 2 weeks ago with no problems,Yesterday I ran scandisk with no problems found & when I defragged it went through c: ok, but when it defragged D: it stopped after 10% & a message popped up saying that 'defrag has caused a problem with defrag.exe' & repeated attempts to defrag D: were unsuccessful.I was able to continue defragging E: & F: with no problems.
I have scanned for virus & tried closing all programs except explorer & systray,I have even tried defragging D: in safe mode & got the same error message. Also I have replaced the Defrag exe file incase it was corrupted.
Looking forward to you replys.
Cheers Steve
