22416	2001-10-23 18:10:00	In the October edition of the PC World magazine, there is a reference to networking problems under the heading 'peer to peer pressure' on page 105. The last paragraph 'A scenario for windows 9x machines is at help.com/cat/1/106/hto/3311/3.html.' This sounds as if it may be able to help with a problem I have at our senior net club, but I cannot find the site. Can anyone please tell me the correct URL to get to this page? 22418	2001-10-24 00:15:00	Hi Allan When I entered the above URL with WWW in front, it redirected to this C-Net page, which looked like it may have links of interest www.cnet.com The article also mentions the microsoft support articles - have you tried these? 22419	2001-10-24 03:53:00	Thanks Gary and Tweak'e. I do not have a problem at the moment but, now and again, the network goes down for no reason. I know that a laptop is sometimes connected to our system and when I read this article about Windows 2000 taking over the network settings, I thought this may be happening. I was hoping to find this page about windows 9x so I will know what to do next time we lose the network. I was also directed to the same page at cnet when I typed this url but it does not seem to mention this subject. I was wondering if Brian Livingstone wrote the article and may be able to help.
