| 22739 | 2001-10-27 06:09:00 | Windows is far more likely to be affected by viruses as most viruses are written for it and comparatively few for Linux, mainly due to the design of the operating systems. It is much harder to create viruses that will effectively spread in Linux systems as it has levels of access and a much less open design that Windows has to make it more user friendly. |

Eight if you include the unix virus which people seem to be sending around: 'You have been hit by the UNIX virus! It works on the honor system. Please forward this message to everyone you know and delete a bunch of your files at random.' :-) If your looking for something to do, there is a guy in the UK that is offering 10000 pounds to anyone who can manage to infect their linux box. |
