| 22728 | 2001-10-27 03:11:00 | More often than not when I try to go su from my terminal my password does not appear to work.Is there a trick? Also should I push enter after my password or not? The few times everything has worked I did not push enter. |

Passwords are case sensitive; watch the Caps Lock key. I find it easiest to have passwords entered with Enter ... you could try TAB as a terminator. Next time you get lucky and it works, type 'passwd', then enter your password with Enter. | Guest (0) | ||
