| 22716 | 2001-10-26 23:12:00 | Gidday Try this page for a range of free proxy servers: www.webattack.com I use Proxy Plus, it sits quietly on the host computer and allows the networked PC to access the net, even initiate dial up if not already online. You can clear pop3 email and access msn plus netmeeting through it. Works a treat. GG |

| 22721 | 2001-10-27 01:10:00 | the draw back of a proxy type sharing is that you have to configure some programs to use it and you will find some programs won't work with it. eg ICQ. try the stock windows one first. check out www.practicallynetworked.com |

| 22722 | 2001-10-27 02:02:00 | Haaaa!, Internet sharing starts from 98SE. I've got plain old 98. The W2k has the modem, both computers are tcp/ip networked, must have to use the proxy program. Had internet gate when both computers were 98, will not work now with one computer W2k. |
