| 22705 | 2001-10-26 19:07:00 | My daughter is running outlook express 5.5 with an external 33.6 modem. All works well unless she clicks the send/receive button to manually check for an incoming email. Everytime she does this her internet connection disconnects and I am stumped as to why....All her settings have been checked and doubly checked but I must be missing something.,...just what it is eludes me....help please ????? | Guest (0) | ||

In OE5.5 goto tools/options/ connections/make sure ask before switching dialup connections is on. Then goto 'change' in the same pane, and make sure the right connection is set as 'default', there should only normally be the one connection here anyway. Continue on while you are here and click settings, make sure 'Automatically detect settings' is not on. |

The problem only occurs when she does it manually...like I said..probably something very minor...... | Guest (0) | ||
