22687	2001-10-26 08:54:00	I have tried to install and run the above scanner many times and a few different ways, however after installation the computer locks up and has to be re-booted whenever I try to use the scanner. I have win 98 operating system and Win 2000. A downloaded driver has not helped. Photos can be scanned but the OCR and document scanning crashes things. Help???	Guest (0)

22689	2001-10-26 23:15:00	Hello Warren I own mustek 600 CP scanner, had the same problems when I first attached it too a computer with only small recouces. it seems the scanner needs quite a bit of recouces to work, and after I increased ram, the problem went away. If your computer has mimimal recouces, you could try turning off any programs that are running before, you use the scanner. when installing, the software, in my case the scanner was not turned on. hope this helps, good luck, Bob	Guest (0)

22691	2001-10-28 04:29:00	Hi Bob, I have 128Mb of ram and a 20 Gig hard drive, I thought that it would be more than enough. Further to my original message, this scanner used to belong to my mum. She had the same trouble too. She got another driver and it installed fine. But I have tried downloading a driver off the internet with no luck. Weird??? Thanks for the reply Warren.	Guest (0)
22692	2001-10-28 22:11:00	Hello again Warren, Goodness! as you say, you have heaps of resources, well this is all guesswork on my part, and you have probably done this, but I think I'de start looking for a possible conflict, between the scanner software, and any programs you might have running in the background. cheers, Bob	Guest (0)
