| 22619 | 2001-10-25 11:20:00 | I have a Duron 850 with 128 meg Ram, not DDR. A VIA KLE 133 AGPset, GA-7VMM motherboard with 8 meg onboard video Ram. I am running Win ME with a Proview PK772 monitor. The problem I am having is that everything seems to run fine until I play a game such as Aoe which changes to 256 colours during the game, and when I change the display settings to 256 colours the picture looks awful. The monitor has vertical lines running up at about 5 mm intervals, and the desk top icons have a similar look to them. I am using DirectX 8 and have downloaded the latest chipset and Vga etc drivers, as well as Proviews PnP3 drivers but can't get rid of it. Everything is nice in 16 + colours but it wont work in 256. I would appreciate any assistance possible as I can't find any solutions on the net. |
