I'm trying to install Office 2000 on a Dell PIII 500, 128mb RAM and 6.0GB HD (partitioned 4/2). It has a brand new install of Windows 2000. Each time I try and install Office it gets though two installing screens with the blue progress meter, on the third progress meter it gets to about 96%, then starts going backwards. The meter that is, then the previous two meters come up and unwind. I then get a message telling me that Office 2000 has installed. However there isn't a single Office 2000 file on the PC. Tried with Office 2000 and Office 2000 SR1. Any ideas? |
