| 22874 | 2001-10-28 23:54:00 | is there a setting in Win95 (or Win98) that will allow two seperate computers (physically isolated) to share the same telecom phone circuit at the same time ? (I have an internet-dedicated phone line and have two PCs (that can not be networked) and would like to access the internet from both PCs at the same time.) |

You could buy a router, which will network them, and also enable 'simultaneous' access to the Internet through a single modem. But you will not be able to do that without special arrangements with your ISP. It will cost you ... | Guest (0) | ||

The two computers are in opposite corners of the house. Thus, cabling is a major problem. A friend (aren't they wonderful creatures) seemed to think that Win98 would allow muliple connections under these circumstances, hence my question. |
