| 22860 | 2001-10-28 22:33:00 | The MS Dos prompt from within windows gives an error message that there is insufficient memory to run this program,I have no other programs running with plenty of memory available. If I remove the soundcard MS Dos runs fine.I have an Athlon 1400 with 768 mb ram running Windows 98se and a Soundblaster Live soundcard installed. Any help would be great Thanks |

You may find that you have a lot running in the sysem tray that is hogging the memory (remember that DOS works in the first 1Mb. Try shutting ONE of those down, or alternatively try a DOS window session IMMEDIATELY after boot up. If it runs then OK, then you need a little program to free up some RAM (something like Freemem). | Guest (0) | ||
