| 22799 | 2001-10-28 04:54:00 | i have reformat my hard drive and reinstall win98. And for some odd reason that i dont know is that every time i start it up and use it for 10-25mins it just restart itself. And if i dont use it for 5mins and start using it, 10mins later it come up with the blue screen of death! PLZ!!! help.Thanx |

| 22800 | 2001-10-28 07:29:00 | ...any one of a number of things could be causing this behaviour - a faulty reinstall, overheating, faulty power supply. Here's an initial suggestion to help you isolate the problem/s: Do you have the 'Dr Watson' troubleshooting Utility installed (?) Go to the Start button, click Run and type DRWATSON in the box and press enter. Next, look beside your clock in your system tray - a new icon will have appeared there. Right click on it and then click 'Dr Watson'. A new window will open and the Dr Watson utility will take a snapshot of your system and provide a small report. Read through this carefully, it might provide a clue. Post back with any other information you have. Cheers !!! e_ |
