22768 2001-10-27 10:41:00 hi, i'm just thinking of getting a home server from avernet.co.nz, if i have a server, does it mean i can, with software support, such as windows xp pro, be able to just use one processing unit (the box), but work using muliple monitors, 2 or 3. (with indivual controls using kb/mouse etc.)

thanks a lot,

22770 2001-10-27 20:58:00 Well, i know, i'm asking if what i think a server is is what it is? Guest (0)

With a server you still need workstations. (less powerfull computer, monitor, mouse, and keyboard)

Thats if I understand your question correctly

22772 2001-10-28 03:10:00 So is there any way of using the 2 monitor sttings in win xp pro, wheree it lets you use the same computer on 1 processing unit but with indiviual controls, like say i have a computer and i add another monitor keyboard and mouse to make it virtually like 2 computers, but one without the main unit.

Thanks
