23051 2001-10-30 03:55:00 I have just installed the copy of SystemWorks 2002, an upgrade from my current 2001, and am trying to figure out what Symantec has done to deserve bringing out a new version.

As far as I can see, all they have done is change the look and added more scheduling tools, but at the expense of half of the useful features!

Gone is the Hardware Analyser, the Redundant DLL, Orphaned Program Files and Duplicate Files checkup tools.

Anyone know of any advantages to using 2002 over 2001?

23052 2001-10-30 04:26:00 Actually,it has a feature vital to the survival of Symantec, the ability to work on newer Windows(XP).Great prize though, love it! Guest (0)
23053 2001-10-30 06:29:00 What about the other feature essential (or at least desirable) for their survival: cash flow. People who use last year's software aren't profitable. Wait for 2002.25, 2002.5 versions. Or compulsory daily 2GB updates on a subscription basis. Guest (0)
23054 2001-10-30 18:07:00 dont forget 'Go Back 3.0' this is the best feature as wellas scanning outgoing emails on 'NAV 2002' The Hardware tool is still there, justa different location than before, as with the DLL file check, runs with disc doctor. Guest (0)
23055 2001-10-30 23:15:00 I wondered whether things had been shifted... some things seem to take slightly longer, but there is no explicit statement.

Where abouts is the hardware analyser then?
