| 23024 | 2001-10-30 01:16:00 | I remove all except Systray and Internet Explorer . But ! The buton is only falf way down the scroll bar so one can only suspect the defrag finishes half way through the due process. Can anyone help ? NJ |

| 23025 | 2001-10-30 01:33:00 | Common problem so I suggest you visit this web page. http://www.powerdefrag.com/ Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the link to 'Power Defrag 2.0 Lite'. Install this FREE program and you should find your defrag & scandisk problems are history. When you start the program, it will restart your computer automatically and run the defrag, and then boot back into Windows for you. Have fun :-) |

| 23026 | 2001-10-30 01:36:00 | N J, I'll assume by saying that you have removed all except systray and internet explorer that you have ended all tasks except systray and explorer. Now, my question is, does the message that says defrag has finished come up? If it does it has finished. The reason why the thumb is only halfway down the scroll bar is because you probably havn't filled up your drive. Defrag does not defragment empty drive space. G P |

| 23027 | 2001-10-30 06:18:00 | Another solution is to get norton utilities. This has a version of scan disk and defrag plus some other goodies. It does not seem to be as affected when defragging. For a free trial go to www.symantec.com and download the 30 day trial.....that reminds me mine is running out so I'd better go buy it. |
