23008	2001-10-29 23:11:00	Just trying to find out if anyone is having similar problems with their Internet speed as I have for the past week. I have emailed my ISP (Slingshot) several times but as always, no reply. The ping times through my ISP have been way too high (over 600 ms in some cases.) The speed is back to normal today (Monday) but for how long! Have you had problems also?	Guest (0)
23009	2001-10-30 00:35:00	* E X T R E M E L Y S L O W * Xtra has been really slow over the past few evenings... so much so I am sick of the 'pop3 server has not responded for 60 seconds' email message, and pages are taking forever to load in IE. I have stopped my Xtra flatrate, changed it to the $5 a month deal and signed up with Paradise. Once it is set up we'll see if that's any different. GG	Guest (0)
23010	2001-10-30 02:58:00	I am using zfree and have no problems currently connected at 115,200bps I guess I am one of 250,000 If you are still having problems I would get telecom to look at your wiring we have had all our 84 m from the road replaced and I do not get any problems also inside the house with cat 5 works a treat good luck zfree	Guest (0)

Not high speed (dial-up is more easily affected) The slow down has only occured in the past week. The phone line has been tested and shown to be very 'clean' in signal. I see on the home page that PC World columnist Juha Saarinen had a slack response from Telecom (nothing!) about his ADSL being plagued by 'micro-outages'. Not very good public relations from the Telco - again! Glad to hear that your connection is ok though :-)	Guest (0)

23014	2001-10-30 08:11:00	Yes, Xtra has been extra slow just lately. I was down to 24kbs this morning. No help from the helpline either. They say there's nothing they can do about it. I live in the country so perhaps all these electric fences......	Guest (0)
