| 22994 | 2001-10-29 21:26:00 | P111, 450 mhz, 512 ram, 98SE. I installed 2 x 256 ram recently and also recently my CD burning software EZCD and NTI 2000 seem to take a long time to initialize and get started and an ocassional freeze. I do get successful burns eventually. Is this any result of my new ram and if so what should I do? |

I recently installed a 128MB RAM in my system, and the program picked up that it wasn't installed properly.... You will find that if you run this program, it may solve your problems. GOOD LUCK ! |

| 22996 | 2001-10-30 11:18:00 | Hi Roy, There are a number of issues with running 512 Mb of RAM under Windows 98. I tried running 512 MB recently and the performance was WORSE, not better. Try running just 256 Mb and see if this makes any difference. There are a number of articles around to do with Windows not liking large amounts of RAM, but I have just chosen to stick with 256 Mb rather than stuff around trying to make it go properly on 512 Mb. Cheers. |
