| 22968 | 2001-10-29 09:59:00 | While on the net visiting a site to upgrade a CD Rom copy Programmme.)I was bombarded by porn sites. As quick as I deleted one three or more appeared. In the end the only way to stop this was to disconnect. I went to the options in Internet explorer to try and block these sites by adjusting the type of material allowed to be down loaded. I logged back on to the same site and the same thing happened, so much for changing the options. I had just ran a programme that detects spyware and allows you to delete cookies etc. Could this of caused the above to happen and is there software that stops unwanted sites from downloading to your computer. | Guest (0) | ||

They make no distinction between pop-ups and just new browser windows, and its a pain in the ass whenever I actually WANT to let a new window open having to remember to hold down shift. While they WILL stop the damn popups, quick fingers with Alt-F4 will do the same thing ;-) |
