1281924 2012-06-15 23:23:00 Hi folks

Some weeks ago I installed Sumatra PDF reader and I am most happy with it. Now I seek advice as to what of the following I can uninstall from my list of programmes.

Adobe AIR
Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X
Adobe Flash Player 11 Plug In
Adobe Reader
Adobe Shockwave Player

Can they all go, or do I still need some for the day to day use of the computer

Thanks

1281925 2012-06-15 23:27:00 If you uninstall flash, nothing on youtube, or any videos will play online. I dont know what AIR does. Never used it. Dont think you need shockwave player (well its not for PDF files) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1281926 2012-06-15 23:37:00 If you're into online tutorials or game sites, then keep Shockwave.
You require Flash for Youtube and quite a few things online.
Get rid of the rest

1281928 2012-06-16 00:23:00 Do you use Zinio reader or any type of computer based eReader? because I think they need air. I use Nitro PDF and had no adobe stuff at all apart from flash, yet when I loaded Zinio so I could get magazines electronically air was installed as well gary67 (56)

No Gary, I do not have a computer based e Reader. Nitro looks interesting, but I see after a free trial you have to pay for it.

1281930 2012-06-16 01:01:00 Remove Adobe Reader (PDF Reader) and leave the rest probably.

Flash you need, Shockwave you probably need.

AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) is used for running certain programs, if you uninstall it, they won't work. If you have uninstalled those programs of course, then you can remove AIR.
