1281675 2012-06-15 04:44:00 We're considering the addition of a +1 button, which would be added to each post on the forums. for more detail, see here www.google.com and here www.vbulletin.org Zara Baxter (16260)
1281676 2012-06-15 05:24:00 This would be nice to have, provided it's loaded asynchronously and doesn't slow the forum down. Erayd (23)
1281677 2012-06-15 05:30:00 Would be great! wratterus (105)
1281678 2012-06-15 05:45:00 I'm personally all for it! It's a lot more universal than a "like" or a "thanks".

EDIT: Glad to see the time is also back on-track :D

*Do we really need to add this to the forum?

*What real and actual value will it add?

I belong to other Forums that use the same software and they are nowhere near as simple and logical to use as PF1, and that is without adding +1 [why don't they just call it 'me too'?].

It violates the KISS principle as well, which has long been a fundamental reason why this Forum has worked so well for so many years, and why so many Forum websites are impenetrably obtuse.

Cheers

1281680 2012-06-15 06:19:00 Beats then having to write a post straight afterwards saying "Yeah me too, well said".

Also for solutions you can skim down a page and see that XYZ person got given 5 +1's for their suggestion but the second suggestion got 27 +1's... I'd try the second suggestion first in this case if it was me.

1281682 2012-06-15 07:12:00 I think we need a thanks button like xda devs. stratex5 (16685)

1281684 2012-06-15 09:32:00 No, its related to google :yuck: I for one am sick of google crap everywhere I turn.
A simple +1 smiley/icon/thing works for me.
