2012-02-12 06:06:00 | Well i have sadly let the side down, ive been busy with spare time painting....so the vege garden didnt eventuate. but in saying that we have 2 good ones going at work which i have been working on with the kids so all is not lost. But the sad part is, the horse ate my feijoa trees and the just coming back about 6 months later, the passionfruit died....... and the grape vine just is not flurishing like it should...... but my bath with flowers in it is great...... full of colour.... and some body sprayed my 2 tractor tyres full of strawberrys........ so null and void new plants next time... so not been a good planting year for me.... but hope to have a lawn mower soon, and get some things planted cos ive nearly finished the painting.... :D your gardens / produce looks really good Tekky....... :) beetle

2012-02-12 07:46:00 | you make me nostalgic for my childhood. Haven't been able to have a garden for years. A few flowers in pots, couple fruit trees, but other than that, not since I lived in westharbour. Renting. :(

2012-02-12 07:47:00 | There is too much grass in that second photo.:D Yes I want to say something like that too! Our beans have been a total failure this year. Tomatoes still green and not a great number I don't see any zuccini? That's our one success

2012-02-12 09:03:00 | Quite slow. The little plums are ok I think. Herbs are good. My 'gourmet' lettuce is coming, planted not too long ago. Snow peas starting. Can you actually get a proper meal off one plant? The chilli's don't fruit. They get flowers though. We had this other area which we cleared, think it had hill stoney soil thingy. We added some soil ... and planted the chilli's 2 of them died there. 3 of my brocolli's has started blossoming. A few others elsewhere doing ok incl at the stoney place. Lemon tree might not fruit this year, going well it seems, dug extra deep in the stoney place and added almost 1/3 of the 20kg bag compost. Tomatoes just flowered. Going v strong, might had planted too many like almost 10, haha. A few of them is almost knee high now. My wild rocket awesome, had a few harvest already, keeps growing back. Not started on any berries...

We are coneverting the whole garden into food production and no chemicals used |
