| 1258320 | 2012-02-09 15:14:00 | It appears to me that Invercargill NZ (46°25 . 5′S) and Hamilton Montana (46°14′54″N ) have about the same latitude, albeit, somewhat inverse of each other . I wonder how this can be set up and gotten into motion - the sisterhood-thing, that is? I see that Kumagaya, Saitana, Japan ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/Kumagaya,_Saitama" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) Latitude: 36°9′N - has already declared themselves as a sister city to Invercargill, but I don't think they qualify since the latitudes are so different . If Invercargill won't acccept the sisterstatehood invite, then what city/town/iceberg IS at the obtuse latitude as Hamilton? |

| 1258324 | 2012-02-09 18:53:00 | I would make it happen with Nelson Joe, it has the best weather in NZ by a long shot and of course great beaches and 3 National parks on it's doorstep | gary67 (56) | ||
| 1258325 | 2012-02-10 03:03:00 | What is a sister city anyway? What point does it have? And shouldn't they kind of match in how they look and stuff? | pctek (84) | ||

| 1258328 | 2012-02-10 05:11:00 | I would make it happen with Nelson Joe, it has the best weather in NZ by a long shot and of course great beaches and 3 National parks on it's doorstep I'm kinda of the mind that latitude is important - and besides, if looks were all that important, how's a Japanese city fare with Invercargillians who hang by their tails 'cause the place they live is upsidedown? What is a sister city anyway? What point does it have? And shouldn't they kind of match in how they look and stuff? Well - degrees latitude has to count for something! Maybe we can get a trade-off going - Invercargillians can send baby penguins to Hamiltonians and Hamiltonians can send Gray Wolves to them . See? Tit for tat . Hate to tell ya this Joe . . . Invercargill is the ar$ehole of New Zealand (look on a map) . . . suggest you move further North . . . :D Nope ---- I gotta stick with the latitude thing-y . |
